Description
Job Purpose:
Under Supervision, this position is responsible for administrative claim setup as well as initial claim review, assisting in claim coding, including but not limited to: Eligibility assessment, determine coverage amounts, editing member data in the billing systems, policy requirements, Investigates, researches, and diligently obtains required information on all types of claims types and Payment Procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and review claims to determine coverage amounts, eligibility, identification of beneficiary(ies), policy requirements and payment procedures.
* Contact Beneficiary, Employer and/or Broker to notify by telephone or letter and verify questionable information submitted on claims.
* Create, review and edit member and benefit information including Self-Administered Billing, Self-Administered Billing-Web, Third Party Administrators, spouse *
* Maintain accurate documentation of activities in claim file in accordance with company practices and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor Degree and 2 year of claims experience or 6 years of claims experience.
* Knowledge of ECM, STAR (Claim System), Genelco/GIAS, Siebel, UTS, Casetrak, Docsql, Benefits Manager, ImagePlus, and Incomplete Tool.
* Problem solving and research skills.
* PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Lotus Notes.
* Customer Service experience.
* Organizational skills.
* Experience handling multiple tasks and making priorities.
* Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
