About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Cloud Security with a strong background in securing AI/ML platforms and data pipelines to lead our cloud security strategy. This role will play a pivotal part in securing our AI-driven infrastructure across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure), ensuring compliance, scalability, and resilience as we expand our AI capabilities. You'll lead a cross-functional team focused on securing AI workloads, cloud-native applications, and sensitive model/data assets.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Security Strategy & Governance
Develop and execute the cloud security strategy aligned with our AI/ML infrastructure roadmap.
Establish policies, procedures, and best practices for cloud-native security, with emphasis on AI and data workloads.
AI Infrastructure Protection
Secure end-to-end AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, inference, and API deployment.
Implement security controls for foundation models, fine-tuning processes, and prompt interfaces.
Partner with AI teams to ensure secure usage of vector databases, model registries, and RAG pipelines.
Cloud Security Operations
Lead a team of security engineers responsible for vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response in cloud environments.
Oversee implementation of IAM, network security, data protection, and container/workload security.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP) as they apply to AI systems and cloud operations.
Perform risk assessments and security audits of cloud services, AI deployments, and third-party integrations.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with data science, DevOps, MLOps, and platform teams to embed security into CI/CD and ML lifecycle.
Drive security awareness and training programs focused on secure AI development and responsible AI practices.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
8+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in cloud security leadership roles.
Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform security frameworks.
Experience securing AI/ML platforms (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML, Kubeflow, MLflow).
Strong understanding of data privacy, encryption, identity federation, and zero trust in the context of AI.
Proven ability to lead and scale security teams in a high-growth, cloud-first environment.
Nice-to-Have:
Familiarity with LLMs, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate), and secure RAG architectures.
Experience with threat modeling AI systems and adversarial ML risks.
Certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, Google Cloud Platform/AWS Security Specialty, or relevant cloud/AI credentials.
Exposure to MLOps and DevSecOps practices.
