Description
We are offering a contract for a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant role in the banking industry, based in Denver, Colorado. As a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant, you will be at the helm of IT projects that align with strategic goals, ensuring they are delivered within the defined scope, budget, and timeline.
Responsibilities
Lead comprehensive IT projects in the banking sector, including digital transformation, compliance, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
Collaborate with stakeholders across different business units to clearly define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, and oversee project schedules to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Proactively identify, evaluate, and manage risks that could affect project success, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
Oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure alignment with financial limitations.
Ensure all projects comply with banking regulations, cybersecurity standards, and organizational policies.
Foster relationships with third-party vendors and partners to ensure smooth integration and delivery of project components.
Regularly update senior management and stakeholders with progress reports and performance metrics.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- PMP Certification (or equivalent) is required; Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, with a strong focus on banking or financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of banking systems, compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, AML, KYC), and IT infrastructure.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello) and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
