This is a software technical lead position with the Core Processing Software team in Fort Worth, TX. This position requires a software engineer to provide technical leadership to a team and to use a wide application of software principles, theories, and concepts to develop, integrate, and test software products for the F-22 program. You will be expected to technically lead in the design, development and integration of middleware software.
You will be responsible for providing technical leadership to a team of engineers through the full software development life cycle producing embedded software. This role will include interactions with stakeholders (both internal and external) in support of the F-22 warfighter, providing oversight and direction for technical solutions, promoting/leading our Agile development environment and ensuring overall product integrity and quality.

You will be a member of a high-performing team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. You must have demonstrated effective pro-active communication skills as the position will require frequent inter-organizational and customer interactions.

This position is at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years to be considered.

Basic Qualifications

Experience with large scale real-time, embedded software development
Experience with full lifecycle software development - requirements analysis, software design, coding, unit-testing, and CSCI integration testing
Team leadership experience
Experience in Agile development as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
Domain Experience: Middleware software, Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA)/Object-Oriented Design (OOD) techniques.
Language Experience: C, C++, Python,
Experience with Red Hat Linux environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter personality with the ability to multi-task and work will within a team
Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline required
Special Access Clearances will be required
This position is at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance within the last 5 years to be considered.

Desired skills

Experience as a software technical lead where schedules were created, team members were tasked, and commitments/deadlines were met
Experience in Open Systems Architecture (OSA)
Tech Stack/Toolchain Experience: Jira, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Confluence
Ada Experience
DevSecOps and Automated test experience
Experience preparing and delivering briefings to leadership
Knowledge of F-22 Architecture

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
