Our business model focuses on integrity, loyalty, and trust.Position OverviewThe Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) requires technical expertise to support the existing capabilities of the Network Operations Branch of the Operations Division (GBO) of the Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate. The Intermediate Telecommunications Specialist will install, configure, and support an organization s local area network (LAN), Intranet and Internet, and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system; maintain network hardware and software; monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability; provide support to projects that involve networks; and provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice, and Video) requirements, designs, and orders.
Essential Job Function
  • Provide installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems.
  • Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and maintain communications systems.
  • Perform configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems and implement incident response procedures during incidents of a network or host security breach.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have a SECRET security clearance.
  • Must possess Communications Environment (CE) certification upon start of contract.
