Hiring :: Java Full Stack Developer with Java and AWS Expertise :: Riverwoods, Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid 3 days a week in office)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in Java, AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, and RDBMS. This hybrid role requires a strong understanding of DevOps practices, core engineering skills, and experience in payment systems, specifically network systems and dispute management. The ideal candidate will have the ability to assess the complexity and impact areas of business feature implementation by reviewing functional scope with the Business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Java Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Java and modern Full Stack technologies.
• AWS Expertise: Utilize AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, EKS, etc.) for cloud-native application development, deployment, and management.
• Kubernetes: Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource utilization.
• Postgres and RDBMS Experience: Develop and manage relational databases, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
• DevOps Understanding: Implement CI/CD pipelines, automation of deployments, and monitoring using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, and AWS CloudFormation.
• Payment Systems Expertise: Develop and maintain payment systems, understanding network systems, transaction flows, and dispute management.
• Dispute Management Ecosystem: Understand and implement dispute handling processes within payment networks, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Feature Implementation: Collaborate with business stakeholders to review functional scope, assess complexity, and gauge impact areas for new features, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and design principles.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical designs, API specifications, and system architecture.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
• Experience:
  • Around 10 years of experience in Full Stack development with Java, Spring, Angular, or React.
  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, EKS, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Extensive knowledge of Postgres and relational database management.
  • Proven experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring.
  • Expertise in payment systems, especially understanding of payment network systems and dispute management.
