b Description:

We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer with expertise in Control-M workflow analysis for a project focused on optimizing and managing complex job orchestration. The ideal candidate will have experience with job scheduling tools like Control-M or similar platforms (e.g., Autosys) and will be responsible for analyzing workflows, ensuring smooth operations, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency. Strong communication skills are required as the manager is non-technical, so resumes should focus on the impact of your work rather than technical jargon.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in job orchestration and who can adapt to new systems and workflows. If you're familiar with Autosys, this could be a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of Control-M.

Key Skills:

  • Control-M or Autosys experience (familiarity with job scheduling and orchestration workflows)

  • Ability to analyze and manage job workflows (e.g., understanding dependencies between jobs such as job_a from folder_a depending on job_b from folder_b)

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in job scheduling

  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical details in a non-technical manner

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to ensure operational efficiency

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and manage Control-M workflows, ensuring smooth execution and identifying areas for optimization.

  • Familiarize with job dependencies and orchestrate workflows to align with business needs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective workflows.

  • Focus on workflow efficiency, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

  • Communicate the impact and results of your work in clear, non-technical terms for management reporting.
