ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for Help Desk Technical Tier III Support candidates who will be responsible for the maintenance of computer hardware and software that comprises a computer network. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

• Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

All candidates will perform the following duties:

• Provide detailed knowledge and review of action plans for planned and unplanned changes to the network infrastructure.
• Provide detailed knowledge of design and deployment of multicast.
• Provide detailed knowledge of GRE and IPSEC deployments and configurations.
• Provide knowledge and familiarity with Cisco IOS-based routers 3900, 3800, and 2800 families; Cisco IOS based switches within the 6500, 4500, and 3750 families.
• Provide knowledge and familiarity of IP communications, including packet analysis.
• Provide knowledge and familiarity with layer 3 technologies, such as EIGRP and HSRP.
• Provide knowledge and familiarity with layer 2 technologies, such as Rapid Spanning-Tree.
• Provide Central Authentication, Authorization and Accounting via TACACS+.
• Provide network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks.
• Provide technical documentation skills.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

All candidates will have the following minimum skills:

• Three (3) years of related work experience working with Cisco Routers and Switches.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a military environment.
• Require a sound knowledge of IP networking, SIPRNet, NIPRNet, cross domain solutions, and security systems such as HBSS. The Systems administration function may require knowledge of collation networks, CENTRIXS, JWICS, and BICES, the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and server virtualizations, IT service management, and wireless LAN (WLAN)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.
• Work well independently or as a member of a team environment
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, OR an Associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR a certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

All candidates will have one (1) of the following required certification(s):

• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) CE
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or Associate)
• GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED)
• GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH)
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
