Overview
The Oracle Infrastructure Engineer plays a pivotal role in the management and optimization of Oracle environments within the organization. This position is crucial for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical database infrastructures that support business operations. The engineer will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle systems to provide reliable and efficient data services. As part of a dynamic team, the Oracle Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate with database administrators, application developers, and IT support staff to establish best practices and troubleshoot issues. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust Oracle database infrastructures.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance and availability.
  • Implement security measures and access controls for database environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database configuration and connectivity issues.
  • Perform regular backups and establish disaster recovery strategies.
  • Document infrastructure changes and maintain operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Assist in capacity planning and resource management.
  • Upgrade and patch Oracle software and systems as necessary.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Oracle database administration.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and management.
  • Proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL programming languages.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts related to database environments.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery tools for Oracle databases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework for incident and change management.
  • Certifications related to Oracle technologies preferred.
