Job Description
We are in search of a Lab Application Analyst to join our team in the healthcare and social assistance industry based in Torrington, Connecticut. In this role, you will guide a team in the development of automated and manual systems, evaluate system development requests, conduct needs analysis, and design specific system specifications. This role offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical guidance to a team of analysts and programmers involved in the development and support of automated and manual systems.
Evaluate and address requests for systems development and enhancement.
Perform needs analysis studies, including evaluating current user and computer environments through observation, interviews, and examination of existing system documentation.
Collaborate with users and Application Coordinators to define and document current and future business needs.
Document specific design specifications and participate in the design of production and conversion plans to ensure smooth transition from current to new environment.
Design input and output formats, screens, reports, and interfaces between user systems.
Develop test data and design test protocols.
Create user and ITS procedure manuals.
Monitor progress against plan and provide management reports as required.
Provide technical guidance and support to the Application Coordinator in the development of plans for maintenance and development of assigned systems.
Analyze and evaluate outside software for compliance with ITS guidelines and develop recommendations for acquisition.
Participate in determining the nature and scope of project activities and processes to be developed or modified.
Develop the most complex programming routines, programs, and functions according to detailed design and user needs.
Isolate and correct testing errors in programs and systems.
Develop performance metrics and a formal statement of expected performance for new or modified systems.
Conform all job-related duties with MIS standards and potentially initiate standards. Possess strong skills in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP)

Proficiency in Cloud Technologies is required

Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems

Proven knowledge of Epicor and Epicor ERP systems

Prior experience with AB Testing is essential

Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools

Understanding of Business Process Functions

Experience in preparing Business Requirement Documents

Demonstrable experience in Change Management within a healthcare setting

Must be able to work in a team as well as independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Previous experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry is desirable

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
