Job Details
ILS is looking for a dedicated web application developer to support a major eCommerce enhancement project in the Washington, DC area. The candidate is responsible to enhance major functionalities with new technology and new regulations and policies. We are looking for a Senior Java / DevOps Engineer who is flexible to work both old and new technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
- Work with project manager or product owner to meet specification needs
- Interface with internal teams, customers, and partners
- Design, implement & Support solutions for application development, security, analytics and performance management
- Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code
- Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs
- Document all programming tasks and procedures
- Perform routine software maintenance
- Work closely with QA to define test plans and test cases for applications
- Work on solving scalability and performance problems
Qualifications:
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check (internal and Public Trust level)
- Minimum 8+ Years of Relevant Experience (6+ Years of US-based Experience)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
- Strong Core Java knowledge is a must (Java/J2EE Full Stack Experience minimum 7+years)
- Java/J2ee Development (e.g., JavaScript, JSON, JQUERY, JMS, Spring, RESTful web services, Websphere)
- Hardcore Developer, willing to work on old technologies (EJB, Struts, Javabean and etc) and new frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD Tools (e.g., Maven, Jenkins)
- AWS Cloud Experience (Required)
- Oracle, MS SQL Server, PL/SQL experience- is a must
- Quick learner, should be good team as well individual player.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- EJB, SQL, PL/SQL,Stored Procedures, Spring,Spring Boot, Angular, Hibernate, Shellscript, Jquery, JavaScript, JSON, WebServices, Log4J, SoapUI
- J2EE design patterns like DAO, Abstract, Session Facade, Factory Pattern and Singleton
- SVN, JIRA, Websphere application server, RAD
- Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Jfrog (CI/CD pipeline Implementation experience from design level)
