Title: QA Engineer Automated
Location: Remote

Job Description

The QA Automation Analyst 3 will be responsible for developing and maintaining test scripts for manual and automated testing. The role involves preparing UAT test cases aligned with business requirements, conducting walkthroughs with stakeholders, and tracking test case execution with reporting. The candidate will use Jira to log and manage defects, develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices, and work in an Agile environment. The QA Engineer will support development teams as needed in dev, test, and UAT environments, troubleshooting defects and ensuring quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing.
  • Prepare and align UAT test cases with business requirements.
  • Conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders for clarity and validation.
  • Track test case execution and provide detailed reporting.
  • Log and manage defects using Jira, ensuring organized tracking throughout the SDLC.
  • Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
  • Perform SQL queries to support database testing (CRUD operations).
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts to verify authentication processes and user roles.
  • Perform unit, integration, regression, smoke, UAT, system, stress, and performance testing.
  • Utilize code coverage tools and processes for quality assurance.
  • Collaborate effectively with Agile teams to deliver software releases on time.
  • Communicate complex technical information effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Respond to inquiries and troubleshoot issues related to programs, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Assist in achieving project milestones and overall delivery goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in writing and executing test cases and creating test plans.
  • 8+ years of knowledge in software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • 8+ years of experience with Xray Test Case management tools and Jira project management tools.
  • 8+ years of strong SQL knowledge, including Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) operations.
  • 8+ years of experience in writing and executing test automation using UFT.
  • 8+ years of experience conducting API testing and automation using tools like Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER, or similar.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Experience working with the HHS agency or similar systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
  • Skill in effectively organizing and presenting technical information.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including sprint-based development.
