An innovative international trading company that values integrating automation, data driven solutions and AI is hiring for their Quantitative Trading and Research team that has a strong value on integrating automated and AI driven solutions is hiring a Quant Researcher to add to their team of statisticians, technologists and mathematicians. This team creates trading strategies scientifically by combining its quantitative expertise with sophisticated understanding of derivatives and financial markets.
In this position you will develop a comprehensive understanding of global exchanges, focusing on their unique features, connectivity and communication of protocols. You will analyze and model market behaviors, competitor strategies, and assess the impact of market activities. Additionally, you will assist in discovering, designing, back testing, and optimizing ultra-low latency strategies using large scale data analysis. Part of your responsibilities will include building metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategy execution and conducting thorough post-trade analysis. Collaborating closely with traders and developers, you will identify and incorporate new signals into existing trading strategies. Required Skills & Experience

- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics or relevant field
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, Rust or Haskell
- 3+ years of experience trading futures and/or equities at a proprietary trading firm
- Expertise in working with large datasets, particularly tick-based time series data
- Ability to respond swiftly and accurately to fast-changing market conditions, a critical aspect to this role
- Advanced statistical analysis skills
- Work cross functionally with traders and developers
- Reporting Hybrid into offices downtown in Chicago Loop
- Identify and implement infrastructure improvements to minimizes overall latency and maximize performance
