Position Summary
As the Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining multiple applications. Your day-to-day activities will involve connecting with business owners, understanding requirements, and implementing them as well.
In this role you will also have the responsibility of delivering these implementations to production and maintaining your applications once they are released to production. The Senior Software Development Engineer will collaborate with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, propose design patterns, ensure scalability/performance, and maintainability amongst applications. The Senior Software Development Engineer will participate in agile or other development methodologies, attend meetings, contribute to project planning, and help drive the progress/success of projects.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

What you will do
- Independently design, code, and lead others in the development of cost-effective applications and solutions
- Develop industry-specific solutions based on client needs and manage the upgrade of existing applications for both Web Platforms and Mobile Devices, employing technologies such as Swift, Objective C, Kotlin, Java, React Js, Angular JS, and Angular
- Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms, utilizing tools such as Android Studio, Jenkins, GIT, Checkmarx, Adobe Analytics, Postman, Splunk, Atom, SOAP, REST client, SVN, Jira, Rally, and Charles Proxy
- Coordinate with local and offshore developers, ensuring the quality of work, reviewing code
- Construct Web User Interfaces (UI) with a focus on accessibility, utilizing technologies like React js, Angular js, Node js, Vue js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap, adhering to Section 508 (ADA) Compliance and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and cloud platforms such as Azure AKS, Google Cloud Platform and AWS
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- 5+ years of experience in developing UI applications in Angular
- 2+ years of experience in developing UI applications in React
- 3+ years of experience in leading a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience packaging and deploying code in production using Docker Images and containers
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) preferred
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)
