Job Details

We are looking for a smart and passionate product owner who will work closely with our internal IT team and interface with our key business stakeholders. You will be part of the Mulesoft Integrations team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizes and manages the product backlog and roadmap; ultimate arbiter on tradeoff decisions
  • Develop and communicate the vision of the product being developed and KPIs
  • Work with BAs (or team) to translate the demand and needs of the end users into product user stories
  • Interact with other teams of own and other units as part of synchronization ceremonies to implement cross-team tasks
  • Align the team backlog with the overall program backlog
    Determine acceptance criteria for stories and accepts/rejects story every sprint
  • Represent the end user to explain/clarify the requirements to the scrum team and provide feedback on the stories developed
  • Discuss the expectations, objectives and areas for improvements with the product stakeholders
  • Define the goals of Sprints and Releases in coordination with the SM
  • Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of APIs on the CloudHub platform, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain integration solutions that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Manage & oversee the lifecycle of Mulesoft and Confluent Kafka products, on PaaS, including version upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
  • Lead the first responder team responsible for the 24x7 availability and stability of the integration platform and APIs.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident management systems to ensure rapid response to any platform or API issues.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for integration, including security, performance, and scalability.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and external vendors to understand integration needs and deliver solutions that drive business value.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support for integration initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the integration services, driving efficiency and reducing operational overhead.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in enterprise integration, API management, and related technologies.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • IT Product Owner background
  • Identifying MuleSoft product development potential based on technological developments and ongoing identification of potential product extensions
  • Subject matter expertise in Mulesoft with previous history in architecture and technical product management
  • 12+ years as a Product Owner or in a comparable function - experience with conducting as-is process analysis through stakeholder interviews, identifying pain points, and recommending process improvements
  • Always available to the Scrum Team eliminating sprint delays
  • Ability and empowerment to make decisions
  • Understands what needs to be built (business domain knowledge), and why
  • Ensure that the Product Backlog contains enough items to be developed at all times
