Job Description
Leidos is seeking qualified candidates with signal process engineering backgrounds to serve as a team member in support of U.S. Government and commercial contracts for software design, development, testing, integration, documentation and maintenance. The work is based in St. Petersburg, FL.
The Signal Processing Engineer will translate system requirements into software requirements, perform software design, and implement software applications and features in an agile environment. The candidate must have strong C/C++ and Python skills. The Signal Processing Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances signal processing software (e.g. detectors, demodulators, protocol processors). Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Primary Responsibilities
Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, software development, integration and test, documentation, and maintenance, for complex software system/applications.
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Original Posting Date:
2024-08-09
While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
