Job Details:

JOB TITLE: End User Computing Engineer

CONTRACT DURATION: 78 weeks

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

WEEKEND REQUIREMENT: No

LOCATION: Columbus, OH

ONBOARDING TIME: Expected start date 1/6/2025

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for the engineering, build, installation and configuration, operation, maintenance and support of the endpoint devices and systems to ensure stability, reliability and acceptable performance.
• Responsible for providing outstanding customer and engineering support at an advanced technical level for end user devices and systems which may include mobile devices, printers, USB peripheral equipment, network troubleshooting, performance monitoring and other related activities.
• Responsible for the continuing identification of opportunities to transition support tasks to first and second level support as appropriate.
• Responsible for all activities related to planning, engineering, researching and evaluating new technology integration, systems development, methodologies, data administration, capacity planning, training and technical support.
• Responsibilities may also include addressing security issues, application packaging and the generation of support and/or customer documentation.
• Responsible for providing direction and guidance to junior engineers and administrators in the end user compute technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Certifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience:

• 5 years equivalent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

• Advanced working knowledge of and experience in resolving issues in the desktop and mobile device technologies.
• Advanced working knowledge of and experience with multiple systems hardware and peripheral units and components along with their connectivity in a wired or wireless environment.
• Advanced working knowledge of or understanding of Microsoft/Apple Operating Systems, Microsoft Office products, mobile device technologies and wireless connectivity.
• Previous customer service, administrative or engineering experience in an Information Technology related field.

• Copy of diploma for highest level of completed education.
• Two manager/supervisor references who you have worked with in the last two years.
• Upcoming requested time off for the duration of the contract.
