Description
Our client is seeking a highly qualified Network Administrator II to provide outstanding customer service in support of the Global Activities in several countries located throughout the world. Global Activities supports networks which include network infrastructure, file servers, satellite communications, and messaging systems. As a Network Administrator, you will provide support to foreign nationals daily including the administration, maintenance, and problem-solving for these systems. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to address Country Directors, Local IT, and Customers. The employee assigned to Atlanta GA area should be willing to travel up to 50% of the time, with providing 24x7 operation on call support.
Role and Responsibilities:
Provide Level technical services to global customers, with large tasks.
Install, integrate, upgrade, operate, administer, and monitor the LAN operating systems, and servers in a Microsoft environment (CISCO certified engineer desired).
Configure, install, and implement applications and software available on the LAN file server. Configure disk subsystems to ensure efficient storage utilization and backup.
Maintain utilities for network management and audit trails.
Consult on new technologies, provide data
Providing communications and presentation, ability to speak Country Directors, ITA and customers.
Traveled, international and domestic. Engineer will travel at least 2-3 weeks a month, remote countries
Ability to be Self-Started, limited supervision

Education
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Typically requires at least 10 years relevant experience without a Degree; 4+ years relevant experience with Undergraduate Degree; 3+ years relevant experience with Graduate Degree
Specific Skills:
4+ years of experience managing various server and network equipment experience, and Cisco networking configuration and installation.
4+ years' experience network and server administrator with skills in a wide variety of network infrastructure areas, including Windows Server, AD, VMWare, Citrix, Cisco networks, CommVault Simpana systems, Windows Hyper V, application installation and support
3+ years' experience ability to develop and maintain network standards and procedures
2+ years' experience in maintaining cloud computing systems.
Desired Skills:
4+ years' experience evaluates emerging network technologies
4+ years of experience as a system engineer in a large enterprise environment.
4+ years' experience installing and maintaining Microsoft Server 2008 - 2012, 2016 and 2019.
4+ years' experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining Cisco routers and switches including the latest routers and latest switches.
4+ years' experience installing and configuring firewalls
Demonstrates knowledge of implementing and managing provisioning suites (e.g., DHCP, DNS).
4+ years' experience using network analysis tools (network sniffers) to assist in identifying and resolving problems on-site and remotely is required.
2+ years with Meraki wireless or Cisco wireless
Ability to multi-task projects, strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills, strong written, oral communication skills and organizational skills
Working knowledge of group dynamics

Position requires working in many 3rd World Countries requiring appropriate International travel precautions.
