What You ll Do:

• Lead professional service projects, including configuring, implementing, and migrating advanced network technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, WLAN controllers) while delivering exceptional client experiences.
• Serve as a key escalation point for critical and advanced issues within our Managed Services team.
• Design, implement, and support on-premises and cloud-based network and security appliances, managing network and firewall migrations across multiple clients.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues to ensure seamless operations.
• Interpret and apply compliance and security standards (SOX, SOC2, PCI), creating reliable and repeatable controls tailored to client needs.
• Conduct network assessments, delivering actionable recommendations to enhance security and performance.
• Collaborate with clients to design and implement security policies that align with their unique requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and inventory for multiple customer networks.

What You ll Bring:

• Technical Expertise:

  • Advanced experience with routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and VLAN design.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing next-generation firewalls (NGFW) such as Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Appliances, Palo Alto Firewalls, or Fortinet solutions.
  • Proven ability to migrate firewalls (e.g., from Cisco/Checkpoint/Fortinet to Palo Alto or Cisco Firewalls).
  • Cloud networking expertise in environments like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data center solutions and inter-office routing/switching.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco Nexus platforms (7K, 5K, 2K) and SD-WAN technologies.

• Experience:

  • At least 7+ years in a Network/Security Engineer role, with 2+ years in a senior or lead position.
  • A stable work history showcasing commitment and growth, with a preference for consulting or lead engineer roles.

• Certifications:

  • Cisco CCNP (Routing and Switching, Enterprise), Cisco CCDP, or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE preferred but not required.

• Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage directly with clients.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset capable of juggling multiple projects and escalated issues.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Engineering or 7+ years of technical experience in a Network/Security Engineer role.
• Proven experience working as a consultant and leading projects.
• Comfortable working onsite with clients and directly engaging in requirement gathering, solution updates, and delivering tailored solutions.
