Job Description

As a Geo-Spatial Data Analysis Instructor, you will deliver in-class and virtual courses in accordance with course requirements and competencies. You will use instructional methods such as guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories. The customer utilizes different instructional technology, including but not limited to Blackboard. You will contribute to an assessment strategy in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, and grading. In addition, you ll be a part of a team and help develop future ABI professionals develop their skills by providing formal and informal student feedback.

This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Recent experience analyzing multiple types of GEOINT data (preferably using ABI analysis) to support DoD and policymaker s in the last 36 months.
  • Extensive experience querying and analyzing geo-spatial data with the DataXplorer and/or Mosaic s GeoQuery analytic platforms in the last 12 months.
  • Recent and relevant experience conducting data science tasks (e.g. data exploration, conditioning, and aggregation) with big data sets in the last 12 months.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Expertise in using geographic information systems (specifically ArcMap, ArcPro, and/or QGIS) to process, analyze, and visualize data.
  • Must have the ability to combine an understanding of geospatial data with multiple types of collection from multiple intelligence disciplines in order to characterize events, discover relationships, identify human networks, and detect patterns of activity.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various GEOINT products and services that the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) produces.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Activity Based Intelligence, Targeting Analysis, Cyber GEOINT, and Geospatial Analysis
  • Willingness to travel periodically

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using Python, Java, R, or other coding languages for analyzing and conditioning data
  • Familiarity with advanced Excel functions and/or Excel s Power Query
  • Familiarity and/or working knowledge of the Intelligence Community and NGA
