Position :-Platform Management Specialist

Location: Troy, MI (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite).

Type of Hire: C2C

Job Summary:

The Platform Management Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing Broadcom Spectrum for network and infrastructure monitoring, ensuring seamless integration with other IT platforms. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and enhancing Spectrum s capabilities, automating workflows, and integrating it with ITSM, observability, and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Broadcom Spectrum, IT infrastructure monitoring, automation, API integrations, and scripting for enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and maintain Broadcom Spectrum for network and infrastructure monitoring.

Manage event correlation, root cause analysis, and alarm management to enhance system visibility.

Optimize Spectrum s discovery, topology mapping, and device management capabilities.

Develop APIs and integrations between Broadcom Spectrum and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy).

Automate event and incident workflows using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.

Implement integrations with observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana) for enhanced analytics.

Streamline event processing and notifications via automation.

Configure thresholds, alerts, and dashboards for proactive issue resolution.

Ensure high availability and performance tuning of Spectrum to handle enterprise-scale environments.

Implement log analysis and anomaly detection for proactive issue identification.

Enforce role-based access control (RBAC) and security policies in Spectrum.

Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, PCI-DSS, or other relevant standards.

Perform regular audits of event logs, alerting rules, and system access.

Maintain technical documentation for configurations, integrations, and automation workflows.

Train internal teams on Broadcom Spectrum functionalities and best practices.

Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for platform management and troubleshooting.

Collaboration with network, cloud, and IT operations teams.

Experience in a banking or financial services environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in network monitoring & platform management.

3+ years of experience with Broadcom Spectrum administration & integration.

Technical Skills:

Broadcom Spectrum administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

API integration experience with ITSM and observability platforms.

Scripting & automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.

Knowledge of network protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog).

Experience with ServiceNow, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or Elastic Stack is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

Broadcom Spectrum Certified Specialist

TIL Foundation Certification

Networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
