ARETUM is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Business Development to join our growing team. As the Senior Manager of Business Development at ARETUM, you will be instrumental in shaping our growth strategy and executing plans to capture new business opportunities across various sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the identification and capture of new business opportunities, ensuring a healthy pipeline of prospects to meet corporate growth targets.
  • Manage the entire proposal lifecycle, including writing, editing, compliance checks, and final submission, ensuring all proposals are tailored to client needs and winning strategies are incorporated.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pricing, technical, and operational experts, to develop comprehensive, compliant, and competitive proposals.
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of proposal strategies, including the creation of win themes, competitive analysis, and price-to-win analysis.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify business opportunities in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage capture activities for key federal engagements, including gap analysis, teaming strategies, and resource identification to increase win probability.
  • Develop and lead gate reviews, solution development, color team reviews, and proposal reviews, ensuring proposals meet internal standards and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key government clients and teaming partners, fostering long-term growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate and manage non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), teaming agreements, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set growth targets and implement action plans to achieve significant corporate growth.
  • Stay current on industry trends, government policies, and emerging technologies impacting business development in the federal sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in federal business development with a strong focus on proposal management and writing.
  • Proven success in managing and writing winning proposals for large, complex federal contracts.
  • Deep understanding of federal contracting practices and the federal acquisition lifecycle.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with a proven track record of leading successful proposal efforts.
  • Experience in strategic planning and market research to identify new business opportunities and inform proposal strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in proposal development tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
