Position: Guidewire Developer - Policy Center

Location: Remote

Terms: Full Time

We are looking for a Developer - Policy Center to join our team and support implementations and enhancements of PolicyCenter. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring, developing, and maintaining Guidewire PolicyCenter, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.

Introduction

As a PolicyCenter Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and customizing PolicyCenter solutions to meet business requirements. You will work closely with business analysts, architects, and development teams to implement PolicyCenter modules, workflows, rules, and integrations. This role requires optimizing system performance, ensuring system stability and compliance, and troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation while ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements within the P&C insurance domain.

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Configure and implement PolicyCenter modules, workflows, rules, and integrations with other systems.
  • Optimize and maintain the on-premise infrastructure supporting PolicyCenter.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in PolicyCenter, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on development with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Proficiency in Guidewire Configuration, Gosu scripting, Java, and XML.
  • Experience with APIs, web services (SOAP/REST), and middleware technologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management for Guidewire applications.
  • Understanding of on-premise deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with version upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning in an on-premise setup.
  • Knowledge of cloud migration strategies (if applicable in future projects).

Certifications

  • PolicyCenter Specialist, Developer, or Architect Certification preferred.
  • Relevant Guidewire Certifications (ACE, Specialist, Associate, or Professional) in On-premises or Cloud implementations.
