Description
SAIC is hiring a .NET Developer located in Pensacola, FL. This position will be supporting Training & Education Management Systems for Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). The roles primary focus is with Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS).
The NEAS Software Developer will require:
- High-quality software engineering advisory services, software systems planning, integration, and architecture support.
- Comprehensive support, maintenance, and enhancement of software using a technology stack that includes AWS technologies, Visual Studio/C#, JavaScript, SQL Server databases.
- Fixing bugs, converting, and upgrading legacy code to new technologies, and developing new software features.
- Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure the reliability and correctness of software code.
- Participate with production deployment process, release planning, creating documents for the release, and creating scripts for the release.
- Perform environment Integration testing, such as development, staging and production environment to assure that all functionalities work as expected.
- Follows and ensures the system is maintained in accordance with all DoD standards.
- ATO controls are met through all phases of the SDLC, to include adding tools to conduct static and dynamic application security testing.
- Support software development and integration efforts while adhering to government guidance for strategy, planning, documentation, and implementation.
- Implement STIGs and maintain artifacts to ensure an authority to operate (ATO) exists for the system.
- Maintain SQL Server databases used by the NEAS application.
- Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Qualifications
Required experience and education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution or six (6) years of experience.
Required skills:
- Hands-on experience with software development in Visual Studio/C# and JavaScript/JQuery.
- Cloud-based development experience, preferably in AWS GovCloud.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Knowledge of JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
Certifications:
- Required: Active Security+ certification or comparable to comply with DoD Cyber Workforce requirements as highlighted in the education requirements.
- Desired: AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
Clearance required:
- Must have an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret.
Desired skills:
- Experience in DevSecOps best practices, software development life cycles, automation toolchains and CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience with building and working with container images.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
