Job Description

The eCommerce Engineering organization is focused on delivering high value, high quality features for their industry leading eCommerce sites. Engineers working, get to work full-stack, extending our beautiful front-end user experience all the way through to enterprise services that support personalization, order management and other server-side features.

This team is responsible for supporting a variety of projects across the brand. Work flows will range from high-level long-term projects in which coordinating with the other brands will be essential, to working on improving to the website by making simplistic spacing or thought changes tied to the business needs. The QA will be responsible for QA ing the website as it endures such enhancements.

Description:

Assists in defining user stories and the acceptance criteria therein

Receives, understands and may assist with in adapting technical designs to be more easily tested

Plans product and feature testing

Writes unit, component and minor integration tests within current standards and toolsets

Identifies opportunities to improve testing effectiveness through automation

Writes code that meets or exceeds all coding standards

Works with shared service teams to define and establish test environments that are needed

Curates data necessary for repeatable tests

Validates test results for components

Reports test failures in a timely and detailed manner

Adapts test suites to exercise code against new defects found

Has all code reviewed by a Quality or Software Engineer

Participates in code reviews as a means of developing skills

Tracks time for assigned stories and overhead

Assists in setting estimates for story work

Follows prescribed process, able to observe deviations from process and suggest course corrections

Interacts with team members and business users

Communicates technical issues clearly and concisely

Is a productive contributor to the team s efforts to assess user stories and the technical challenges inherent in solving them

Accountable for testing most stories and unit tests for all stories

Identifies own dependencies and problems

Iterates and improves upon stable technologies

Offers constructive opinions

Sphere of influence is often limited to self and team

Coordinates with Development (Scrum) team

Owns professional development plan

Works on assignments with contractors and may provide tactical guidance
