IT Business Analyst Property & Casualty Insurance

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst with extensive experience in the Property & Casualty (P& C) insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance processes, policy lifecycle, claims management, and regulatory requirements. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to drive technology solutions that improve business processes, enhance customer experience, and align with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed requirements for IT systems related to underwriting, claims, and policy administration.

Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes within the P& C insurance domain and identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements. Recommend solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.

Solution Design & Validation: Work closely with IT architects and developers to design solutions that meet business needs. Validate the solution by participating in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-user training.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the point of contact between business users and IT teams. Facilitate clear communication to ensure business needs are accurately reflected in technology solutions.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analysis techniques to track and report on key metrics related to system performance, process improvements, and business impact.

Project Support: Assist with project management tasks, including creating project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of IT initiatives that support P& C insurance operations.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that IT systems comply with regulatory requirements specific to the P& C insurance industry, including state and federal regulations.

Vendor & Third-Party Integration: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to implement or integrate third-party solutions that support the P& C insurance business functions.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Experience:

o3-5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a focus on Property & Casualty (P& C) insurance.
