Akkodis is seeking a HIL Test Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Allen Park, MI. The ideal candidate must be a skilled HIL Test Engineer capable of developing and executing tests for high-voltage BMS and electric powertrains using HIL systems. They should have a strong background in mechatronics, test automation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure project success.
Rate Range: $42/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

HIL Test Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute tests for high-voltage battery management systems (BMS) and electric powertrains using hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems.
- Automate testing processes using scripting languages like Python and CAPL to maximize efficiency and reduce testing time.
- Analyze and debug failures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Commission and configure HIL systems, including plant modeling and test framework development, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degrees in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- 4-6 years of experience in automotive testing, focusing on high-voltage systems and BMS.
- Proficiency in HIL systems (dSPACE, Vector), scripting (Python, CAPL), and automotive protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN, UDS).
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage BMS, electric powertrains, and charging systems.
