SQE Tester

A New Jersey-based entertainment organization is looking to add a new SQE Tester to join their growing team. As a member of the cross-functional Agile team, the SQE Tester will be responsible for partnering with Software Developers to concurrently document and, where appropriate, code test automation.

***This is a Remote opportunity.***

Responsibilities:

• Write test code to examine and validate large-scale software applications and deployments


• Work on an Agile team that is focused on developing and testing deliverables within the same iteration period


• Work with the Scrum team to drive and complete necessary test automation, where modules/components are developed and tested in the same Sprint, to provide immediate feedback


• Provide a risk assessment on the defects identified and set the correct priority and severity


• Drive the quality conversation during backlog refinement / grooming and other Agile ceremonies, to ensure appropriate test coverage and story sizing


• Perform necessary manual ad hoc / exploratory testing, feature testing, and regression testing, as required


• Develop and execute performance tests


• Conduct production monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting, and support alongside the software engineering counterparts

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with creating test automation for Front-End, Micro-Services, RESTful APIs, and Serverless Applications


• Solid working experience with Java, Selenium, Zelenium, TestNG, and Jmeter


• Experience with Continuous Integration, Jenkins, Git, Spring Boot, Maven, Allure, and SonarQube


• Hands-on experience working with AWS SQS, Kinesis, API Gateway, Cloudwatch, as well as Kibana, DataDog, and Splunk


• Experience with SDLC and STLC software tools, such as bug tracking software (Bugzilla, Jira, etc.) and Test Case management software (Zephyr, TestRail, etc.)


• Postman experience
