Job Details

Our client, a full-service hospitality management company with tons of well-documented success over its 20+ years in business, is seeking a full time Director of Restaurant Technology, reporting directly to the CEO!

You would need to be available to travel at least a few times/quarter for restaurant visits within the local Boston Area.

In order to be considered, you MUST have experience working within the restaurant industry.

Position Objective:

You are responsible for overseeing the entire design, implementation, and management of the firm's network and system infrastructure. This mixes technical expertise, leadership ability, and strategic vision to make sure the systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Areas of expertise here include (but not limited to): Security & Compliance, Innovation & Growth, Support & Maintenance

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that deliver value to the business.
  • Manage daily operations of the IT department and ensuring support to restaurant systems.
  • Provide guidance and management for the creation of support, testing, and change management processes for the POS/BOH environment to minimize operational risk while providing maximum transparency to stakeholders.
  • Manage our IT services provider, establishing and maintaining SLA windows and escalation practices for all critical systems and processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for technology solutions and services.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions that drive operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and increase revenue.
  • Ensure that technology solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, in the restaurant industry.
  • Must have experience with POS systems, such as Toast or Aloha.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies that drive business results.
  • Experience managing a team of technology professionals.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and customer experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
