We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Project Manager in West Des Moines, Iowa. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing complex projects within a cross-functional Agile environment, with a focus on finance and accounting. You will also be involved in large system implementation or upgrades within the insurance or financial industry, utilizing tools such as Atlassian JIRA.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage large-scale system implementations or upgrades
Utilize a strong understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes to ensure project success
Operate within a cross-functional Agile environment, employing Agile Scrum, IT project management, and Agile product management skills
Lead Agile Transformation initiatives to improve project efficiency and effectiveness
Leverage Atlassian JIRA for project management and tracking
Draw on your finance and/or accounting background to contribute to finance reporting processes
Utilize your experience in the insurance or financial industry to inform project management decisions
Contribute to the success of the Project Management Office through meticulous project management
Take on progressive responsibility within Project Management, demonstrating your skills and experience
Use your cross-functional project management skills to ensure smooth collaboration between different teams and departments. Proven experience in IT project management
Proficiency in Atlassian Jira
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
Experience with PMO - Project Management Office
Strong knowledge and experience in Project Management
Ability to manage Cross Functional Projects
Experience in Formal Project Management
Knowledge of Agile product management
Experience in Agile Transformation

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
