Job Details

This hybrid remote position will require onsite 3 days a week in Tysons, VA.

Must be local to Northern VA, DC, MD, or within a 2-hour commute.

PRISM seeks an Agile Scrum Manager who will be pivotal in leading and coaching agile teams to deliver high-quality software products within the financial services industry. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, and a proven ability to facilitate effective collaboration and communication within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Agile Coaching:
    • Mentor and coach teams on Agile principles, practices, and ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
    • Facilitate effective team dynamics and collaboration.
    • Remove impediments that hinder team progress.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Scrum Mastery:
    • Lead and guide teams in adhering to the Scrum framework and values.
    • Facilitate effective problem-solving and decision-making.
    • Ensure the Scrum Team is productive, focused, and empowered.
  • Product Backlog Management:
    • Work with Product Owners to ensure a precise, prioritized product backlog.
    • Help refine and prioritize user stories.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success.
    • Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of solid Agile experience
  • Strong in agile scrum coaching experience and project management
  • Experience in the financial services industry, preferably credit unions or banking
  • Strong knowledge of Jira and other Agile tools
  • Demonstrated ability to shape and transform teams

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience leading Agile transformations
  • Project management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Back-office experience (underwriting, loan servicing, credit policy, collections)

Nice to Have:

  • PI Planning expertise
  • Experience with digital or member-facing projects
