Job Title: Federal Contract Manager
Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Federal Contract Manager with a preference for candidates who have 2-5 years of experience in federal contract management, either in the industry or within the Federal Government. The ideal candidate will have experience with DoD or IC federal contracting, although this is preferred and not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document processes and artifacts.
- Be a self-starter who does not require a lot of direction when tasked.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (preferred, not required).
- Experience with Deltek is required, including inputting contract information, maintaining and updating records, and familiarity with its use beyond mere time-keeping/time-entry.
- Provide GPS contracts and deal execution support.
- Provide back-up support to Subcontracts and Procurement Specialists.
- Support timely execution of contract actions to ensure that contracts and deliverables are not negatively impacted.
- Assist in coordinating with Contracts Managers to communicate contract risks/issues in a timely manner.
- Support the identification of internal and external business challenges, vendor and regulatory issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Provide subject matter advisor support for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, and customer organizations to resolve contract issues and improve contractual compliance.
- Assist GPS with managing contracts with US Federal end customers, including task orders, order management, billing, and company compliance processes.
- Support the administration of contracts from proposal to negotiation to close-out, including contract administration and tracking.
- Support proposals with an emphasis on risk identification/mitigation and review of contractual documents against requirements provided by GPS to ensure the protection of Google's contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy.
- Collaborate with internal employees and Business Development/Client relationship managers to confirm contract accuracy.
- Assist with cross-organizational initiatives (e.g., pilot programs to improve execution).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Extensive experience leading agreement consultation, contracts, and management.
- Experience in Public Sector contracts policies and procedures.
- A Bachelor s degree may be substituted for 5-8 years of work experience.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions and work with customers in providing resolution.
- Must be a self-starter, work independently, and work with a clear and defined mission.
- Expertise, training, and actual work experience with specific systems and technologies. (e.g., Deltek, FinancialForce, Salesforce GovCloud, etc.)
- Working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS and experience with all contract types during all contract lifecycle phases.
- Ability to read and understand contractual terms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of DoD contracting - or direct experience with federal, state, or local government contracting responsibilities.
- Certification in Contract Management (CPCM/CFCM), Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C), and/or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification.
