Years of Experience and Education:
- 10+ years experience in IT
- 5+ years experience Google Cloud Platform
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with connected automotive software is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services, including but not limited to Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and IAM.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices, and containerization.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in the cloud.
- Expertise in IoT and connected device integration.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to support connected automotive software initiatives for our customers.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure that enhances vehicle connectivity and overall driver experience.
- Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and design Google Cloud Platform-based cloud architecture to support connected automotive software, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
- Implementation and Deployment: Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions, leveraging Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
- IoT and Connected Devices: Design and implement solutions that integrate IoT devices and connected vehicle systems with Google Cloud Platform cloud infrastructure. Develop strategies to manage and process data from IoT sensors and connected devices. Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business requirements and technical goals.
- Automotive Domain Expertise: Apply your knowledge of the automotive industry and connected automotive software to enhance the design and deployment of cloud solutions tailored to automotive applications.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions meet industry standards for security, data privacy, and compliance. Implement best practices for securing cloud infrastructure and data.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of cloud solutions. Implement strategies to enhance system performance and resource utilization.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Cloud Platform services, tools, and best practices. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance our connected automotive software capabilities.
- Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and procedures. Provide training and support to internal teams as needed.
