As a Senior software engineer ( with a minimum of 7 years' experience ) you will be pivotal leading a team that is crafting intuitive and responsive applications with Java code, developing APIs using Java, frontend applications development expertise with Angular or similar framework (React, Vue, etc.), and showing your technical prowess with your strong background in architecting and building SaaS-based digital healthcare solutions.

You need to be able to collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, you will bring design mockups to life while prioritizing visual appeal and user-friendliness all while leveraging your deep understanding of the healthcare domain, you will develop solutions that address industry-specific challenges and regulatory standards.

Your expertise in cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure or AWS, will be instrumental in deploying and optimizing software solutions while adhering to best

practices for security and performance.

What you will be doing:

Provide technical guidance on architecture, design patterns, and best practices

Collaborate with product managers to define technical roadmaps and sprint planning

Write, test and deploy reliable Java and database code for scale.

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and secure APIs using

Java

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure API

functionality meets business needs

Conduct and oversee thorough testing and debugging of APIs to ensure high performance

and reliability

Guide the development of responsive and intuitive frontend applications using Angular

Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 software engineers; facilitate team meetings and foster

a collaborative team culture

Oversee code reviews and ensure code quality standards are met

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces

Ensure a seamless and engaging user experience across various devices

Apply and share extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry to design and develop

solutions that address unique challenges and requirements

Utilize expertise in cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure or AWS, to lead

deployment, management, and optimization of software solutions

Implement and enforce best practices for security, scalability, and performance in the

cloud environment

Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews for team members

Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions

Assist with hiring and onboarding of new team members

Apply product development knowledge for the healthcare industry to design and

develop solutions that address unique challenges and requirements.

Stay informed about healthcare industry tech trends, regulations, and best practices to

contribute valuable insights to the team

Balance workload across the team and manage project timelines

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in a technical leadership or mentorship role

Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in API and frontend development,

preferably in a startup or entrepreneurial environment with revenues over $20Million

Strong proficiency in Java for API development (Springboot, JHipster)

Experience in frontend development using Angular or similar framework (React, Vue, etc.)

Substantial background in the healthcare industry

Extensive experience with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure or AWS

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Proven ability to mentor junior developers and drive technical initiatives

Proven experience and ability to debug software applications

Proven experience working with product management teams using Agile and other SDLCs.
