THIS ROLE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR C2C OR VISA SPONSORSHIP
We currently have 2 contract opportunities available for a PC Technician with our client in Eight Four, PA.
This is scheduled to be a 3-4-month contract with an on-site Monday through Friday schedule. This individual would be working a 8am-5pm shift and this would start in May.
As a PC Refresh Technician, you will play a key role in deploying, upgrading, and refreshing computer systems across our client's locations. This role involves hardware deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and asset management to ensure a smooth transition to updated hardware and software environments. You will work closely with IT teams and end users to provide hands-on support while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deploy, configure, and refresh computer systems for end users.
- Maintain project tracking sheets, including deployment activities and issue resolutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to device upgrades.
- Maintain accurate asset management records for all IT hardware.
- Assist end users with backing up data and transitioning to their new computer.
- Test computer hardware and peripherals to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide onsite deployment support at various locations as needed.
- Ensure proper disposal and decommissioning of end-of-life (EOL) hardware.
- Work with IT teams to refine build processes and configuration standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, PC refresh, or desktop support (internships included).
- Experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11), Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with HP servers, laptops, desktops, ServiceNow, and remote support technologies.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues independently.
- Strong commitment to customer service and problem resolution.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, managing tasks proactively.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong focus on attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks related to computer setup.
APPEARANCE & PROFESSIONALISM REQUIREMENTS:
- No visible tattoos while on duty.
- No beards (must be clean-shaven).
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance in alignment with company standards.
