COUNTRY Financial is seeking a Senior IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) Developer to join its Application Development Integration Tools team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in developing automated workflows using IBM BAW and will help design, implement, and maintain workflow applications to enhance business productivity.
The role focuses on building integrations between on-premise and cloud-based systems at the core of COUNTRY s operations. This developer will act as a BAW subject matter expert and will also contribute to ETL development and data integration efforts.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop IBM BAW workflows and BPM applications
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Integrate BAW with enterprise systems and databases
Build and maintain ETL processes for data migration and transformation
Follow full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
Document technical processes and support operational teams
Ensure compliance with secure coding practices and industry standards
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) in medium or large enterprise environments
Strong background in designing BAW workflows and integrating BPM and Case Management solutions
4+ years of SQL development experience (complex queries, stored procedures, optimization)
Experience with data modeling, ETL design, data mapping, and performance tuning
Development experience in Java, J2EE, DB2, SQL, PL/SQL, JDBC
Familiarity with ETL logging, recovery, failover, and alerting best practices
Experience with MuleSoft is a plus
Previous experience in the banking or insurance industry preferred
Must complete secure coding training annually in alignment with regulatory requirements (OWASP, NIST, PCI-DSS, FFIEC, etc.)
Work Requirements:
Remote role; must work within Eastern or Central time zones
Must follow regulatory and compliance standards applicable to financial services and insurance industries
