Job Details

Title: IT Senior Project Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN Hybrid

Duration: 12+ months contract with possible extension

Job Responsibilities:

  • Executes the project plans and activities following project management best practices ensuring quality and integrity of the information throughout the entire life cycle of the project. Interacts with stakeholders across the organization including Sr. Leadership and Executives in order to accomplish goals, while successfully delivering project and improving business processes
  • Lead project team status meetings to ensure the project milestones are met and dependencies are tracked.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular project status reports to stakeholders, including project health, risks, and issues.
  • Manage project risks and issues, identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks and providing solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage project scope changes and ensure that they are documented, reviewed, and approved by stakeholders.
  • Manage project change control affecting project constraints including time, cost, scope, resources, quality, and risk.
  • Ensure IT systems and workflows are well-documented for future reference.
  • Participate in QA and UAT planning and execution.
  • Create and maintain all forms of project documentation and records.
  • Perform post-implementation reviews to ensure goals were met and identify lessons learned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies is required
  • Strong experience leading, facilitating and motivating teams for medium to large scale IT projects required
  • Strong understanding and experience working with stakeholders in achieving their goals required
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills required
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization required
  • Advanced troubleshooting, critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
