Job Title: C# / Azure Developer (Cloud Native Azure Developer) 2 Openings
Location: Remote (Must reside in MI, IL, IN, OH, KY, or WI Meijer footprint)
Duration: 6+ Months

Position Overview:

We are seeking two highly skilled Cloud Native Azure Developers with strong C#/.NET and Azure backend development experience. The ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of Azure Function Apps, Durable Functions, Logic Apps, and Cosmos DB, and should have hands-on experience building modern cloud-native backend services on Microsoft Azure. Candidates must also reside within the Meijer six-state footprint (MI, IL, IN, OH, KY, WI).

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy Azure-native backend solutions using C#, Azure Functions, Durable Functions, and Logic Apps.
Work with Cosmos DB for distributed data storage and querying.
Integrate RESTful APIs and build scalable backend services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud-native architecture standards and best practices.
Leverage Kafka or similar eventing/messaging systems to build event-driven applications.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and deployment automation processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of professional experience in C#/.NET development.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly:
- Azure Function Apps
- Durable Function Apps
- Logic Apps
- Cosmos DB
Proven experience building cloud-native applications focused on backend services in Azure.
Solid experience with SQL, RESTful API development, and event-driven architectures.
Working knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging platforms (e.g., Azure Event Hubs, RabbitMQ).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Must reside in one of the following states: Michigan (MI), Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), Ohio (OH), Kentucky (KY), Wisconsin (WI).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps in Azure.
Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
