We are in search of a Business Analyst (Technology) in the Financial Services industry, based in Davenport, Iowa, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting business needs and goals, communicating effectively across all channels, and working with vendors to understand system options. The Business Analyst is responsible for interacting with the stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their needs, requirements and goals on an organizational project specifically communicating with the Technology department. The analyst must have the ability to document those needs and translate them into clear, concise and thorough business requirements and/or use cases.

  • Engage with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their needs, requirements, and goals related to organizational projects.
  • Document these needs in a clear, concise manner and translate them into comprehensive business requirements and/or use cases.
  • Ensure consistent communication through all channels, including during the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze the feasibility of the requests by asking probing questions and understanding the scope of the need.
  • Work closely with vendors to explore the options available in current systems.
  • Maintain a service-oriented mentality, professionalism, and empathy during all interactions.
  • Distill complex details and communicate them in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Utilize tools such as CRM, Gap Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Business Process Functions, Business Requirement Document, Vendor Selection, Proposals - RFPs, Define Requirements, Detailed Business Requirements, Azure DevOps, Waterfall Agile, Microsoft SharePoint to effectively perform tasks.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and improve processes.
Minimum of three years experience in a similar role within the financial services industry
Proficiency in CRM systems
Expertise in Gap Analysis
Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills
Understanding of Business Process Functions
Experience in creating and managing Business Requirement Documents
Familiarity with Vendor Selection process
Previous experience in drafting Proposals and RFPs
Ability to define and set clear requirements
Experience in creating Detailed Business Requirements
Proficiency in Azure DevOps
Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
