Leidos is hiring a Software Engineer to work with a Government-Contractor team providing support to a near real-time, geospatially accurate Common Operating Picture (COP) toolset and associated to support mission requirements. This COP enables sharing and reuse of geospatial intelligence across multiple function areas in support of military operations.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00

Primary Responsibilities
- Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.
- Participates in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems.
- Has the technical background and skills to perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation.
- Ability to design and develop advanced networking techniques.
- Thoroughly understands software engineering and programming for large computer and minicomputer and microprocessor systems supporting broad base of applications.
- Has experience or background in requirements analysis, design, and coding methodologies; documentation standards; configuration management; DoD software policies; and DoD test and evaluation requirements; real-time operating systems, distributed systems, modeling and simulation; data base design and management, and resource utilization assessment.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 0 years of experience. 4 years work experience, OR Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience, may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree - Degree in computer science, Information systems, Engineering, business or related scientific or technical discipline.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- An active secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Security + certification is a plus - Experience with agile software development processes.
