SAIC's National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission, and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, DevSecOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.
We are seeking multiple Cyber Security Engineers to join our National Intelligence Program providing support to an environment encompassing analytic and software capabilities to include data visualization tools, language translation, data ingestions, extraction, and modeling. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will contribute to the Sponsor's Information System security systems and provide security support to the Sponsor's stakeholders, Systems Architect, and Systems Engineer. This position can be in Herndon, VA, McLean, VA or Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities will include , but are not limited to, the following:
- Designing and implementing robust security measures, actively monitoring systems for potential threats, and responding to security incidents to protect against breaches.
- Assisting with developing and enforcing security policies and protocols, ensuring compliance with IC standards and conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address weaknesses, keeping our defenses strong and resilient.
- Swiftly addressing incidents, and conducting thorough root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent future breaches.
- Participate in the accreditation process for systems and ensure compliance with the Sponsor's security standards and certifications.
- Assisting in security design, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- S upport Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and information assurance processes and documentation.
- Provide analytical and problem-solving abilities in order to address complex security challenges.
- Ability to convey security concepts and procedures to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
- 5 to 19 years of hands on Cyber Security experience.
- Experience working in a DevSecOps environment.
- Experience performing vulnerability risk analysis.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and scanners used to evaluate the security posture of the system/enclave.
- AWS Cloud security knowledge including architecture, design, deployment, and management of cloud security technologies.
- Experience supporting account, PKI, and LDAP configuration and management.
- Familiarity with Linux administration as well as scripting experience (Python, Bash, Shell, Perl).
- Experience cybersecurity A&A processes and practices.
- Experience working with software developers and architects to understand security requirements.
Desired:
- Holding relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH will further demonstrate your expertise.
- Experience working with AWS/Azure cloud-hosted information systems or applications.
- Experience working with Redhat or CentOS Linux operating systems.
- Creating and using security tools and processes for scanning, testing, monitoring, and reporting.
- Experience in planning and overseeing configuration changes for major applications across multiple networks.
- Good analytic and problem-solving skills.
