Job Description
We are looking for experienced Primavera P6 Schedulers to join our semiconductor project in Sherman, TX! You should have a thorough knowledge of Construction Project Scheduling and Primavera P6 software experience. You will be responsible for the development, coordination, and maintenance of schedules to support the project requirements. You must provide a comprehensive and accurate project schedule to facilitate the successful execution and completion of the project that reference activity duration, activity logic, schedule SOP, and the schedule model.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the tool install and/or basebuild schedules to meet the project teams schedule needs
- Adhere to the SOP and manage the input and outputs to the schedule for accuracy
- Understand and utilize defined systems used to create, update and maintain project schedules
- Schedulers must work with all teams required to maintain the schedules
- Gain an understanding and working knowledge of theory of constraints and critical chain
- Document all business processes for creating, updating, and reporting procedures and comply with all procedures
- Critical path analysis and reporting to project team members
- Support the Project Controls Manager by planning & organizing the resource planning (including task planning by individual) and scheduling on the project
- Maintain and manage schedule and produce weekly reports. Frequency and format defined by team
- Provide schedule indicators and reports as defined by management (by project team)
- Support and participate in management forum report outs
- Participate in all schedule update meetings; update and change schedule per established processes
- Produce 'what if' analysis; develop contingency schedules to address work-around and unforeseen events.
This project specific Roles and Responsibilities:
- The SUPPLIER shall establish the schedule for the construction and any required moves or relocations.
- Assist with establishment, in conjunction with the various members of the project team (including other prime contractors), a detailed project schedule for close control of all subsequent project activities. The schedule shall be inclusive of all work from the date of the SUPPLIER award through to project closeout.
- The SUPPLIER shall issue weekly reports showing progress relative to the schedule. The schedule shall incorporate all interrelated and interlocking activities including, but not limited to:
1 . Procurement and delivery of materials and equipment; Contractor bidding
2. Submittals
3. Construction
4. Early Room and/or Area Readiness Needs of other prime contractors on site (Including, but not limited to utilities, build chemicals, process gases, etc.)
5. Inspections
6. Start Up, Commissioning and Turnover
- The scheduling duties of the SUPPLIER shall also incorporate the following requirements:
1. The SUPPLIER shall utilize short interval (3 Week Look Ahead) scheduling throughout the duration of the project.
- Obtain and incorporate timely input from Tiered Contractors, Turnkey Contractors and Suppliers.
- Incorporate the phasing of the project into the schedule.
- Assist in establishing and then incorporate into the schedule all OWNER furnished materials, equipment, systems and furnishings.
- Immediately notify OWNER of any projected or realized schedule slippage and provide prompt recommendations for correction.
- Provide individually focused schedules for start-up and commissioning and for the punch list process.
- When required, develop pictorial schedules which depict the construction schedule of a building or area in graphic form.
Position Requirements:
- Broad knowledge of Project Control Systems and processes including leading schedule processing software, databases and spreadsheet applications (ie: Primavera P6, Excel) required
- Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization and prioritization skills
- Proven ability to communicate complex analysis in a succinct and actionable manner
- Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to coordinate efforts across a variety of groups
- Demonstrated ability to organize and efficiently facilitate meetings and project teams; demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, follow complex procedures, and work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to improve overall efficiency
- Five (5) of more years in construction or industrial facilities experience required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience using MS Project on a project and using to drive schedule for project.
- Must be familiar with facilities equipment in regards to process piping, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical and plumbing.
Computer Skills
Experience and certification of training with use of MS Project.
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
Experience and training to use AutoCAD software preferred.
