RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is working with a client in search of an Information Technology Manager to join their team! This position is full time, direct hire and fully on-site near Eatontown, NJ.
Summary:
The Information Technology Manager (extremely hands-on - no direct reports) will work as a key member of the team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all IT operations are streamlined and aligned with the business objectives of the organization. You will ensure infrastructure uptime meets business and customer SLAs, will plan, coordinate and maintain IT related projects. The Information Technology Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. In this role, you will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Will support planning, implementing and monitor changes in infrastructure configurations
* Manage the helpdesk, making sure requests are resolved and closed out
* Responsibility in supporting IT strategies and long-term IT planning
* Support in overseeing the provision of licensing and end user services
* Assist in the department's annual operating budget
* Manage a comprehensive data backup, retrieval, and archiving system
* Preserves assets by maintaining disaster recovery infrastructure and procedures
* Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOP's) as required
* Coordination of the records of network design, inventory, and status
* Assistant Administration of corporate server pool including Directory, E-mail, FTP and data servers
* Assist in troubleshooting, repair and/or upgrade desktop computer hardware
* Responsible for managing equipment movement and setup
* Troubleshoot, repair and/or upgrade server computer hardware
* Troubleshoot, repair and/or upgrade network infrastructure hardware
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or relevant field
* 5 years of direct related work experience in management of information systems
* Minimum of 3 years of work experience in desktop support, server support, systems, or network engineering
* Must have experience with VMware, Windows Server, SQL Server, and some networking background (routers, firewalls, etc.)
* Application support experience
* Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
* Strong technical knowledge of telecommunication, network and PC operating experience
* Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
* Knowledge of application data practices and laws
* Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
* Backup software Veeam (nice to have)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
