Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Engineer in Carson City, NV.

Duties Include:
* Project Leadership: Execute and manage structural engineering projects with minimal supervision, owning the entire process from concept to completion
* Design & Analysis: Develop detailed design drawings and specifications, perform complex structural calculations, review design work by others, and generate comprehensive reports and evaluations
* Construction Observation: Monitor and observe construction sites to ensure compliance with design intent, proactively identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
* Materials & Systems: Analyze and design concrete, steel, and masonry structural elements while creating and justifying calculations based on the relevant material codes
* Consultant Management: Drive external design consultants to deliver coordinated, high-quality construction documents on time
* Collaboration: Work both independently and within interdisciplinary teams to arrive at technical solutions that meet project requirements
* Team Leadership: Provide direction, mentorship, and supervision to junior engineers and other team members, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment
* Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with internal business units to define project requirements, present designs, and incorporate feedback effectively
* Research & Recommendations: Identify and propose innovative products, materials, and best practices; leverage lessons learned from past and current projects to refine design documentation
* Process Improvement: Develop workflows, templates, and processes to boost design productivity and quality
* Coordination & Communication: Lead discipline coordination efforts, manage project schedules, and maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders
* Engineer of Record: Serve as the Engineer of Record for most projects

REQUIREMENTS:
* Analysis - RISA suite
* Concrete and steel design
* Associated codes for concrete and steel
* Equipment anchorage (preferred)
* Revit (preferred)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
