Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a functional Systems Administrator.

The functional system administrator (FSA) supports intelligence training programs, applications, and operations at 315 TRS/XPS and 313 TRS/XPS at Goodfellow AFB TX.

The FSA serves as the focal point for intelligence training applications; responds to user requests for assistance and provides support to customers regarding hardware and software malfunctions. Identifies and resolves common problems, questions, or situations. Provides training to instructors and other FSAs on intelligence applications, specialized computer software, and operating systems. Plans, coordinates, and installs software applications and hardware peripherals on Windows, Unix, and Linux platforms. Develops and maintains system administration standard operating procedures, technical guides, and instructions. Supports the use of computer-based training products (i.e. computer-assisted instruction (CAI), interactive courseware (ICW), interactive multimedia instruction (IMI), and learning management systems (LMS)).

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years on-the-job Information Technology (IT) experience which includes performance of highly specialized work on highly complex or specialized IT systems
  • Five (5) years' experience with minimum of three (3) of the following intelligence applications:
    • Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS)
    • Geospatial Product Library (GPL)
    • ARCGIS
    • Digital Mapping Applications
    • Joint Targeting Toolkit-Capability Package (JTT-CP)
    • Electronic Light Table (ELT) and/or current mission planning software
    • Account Management and Security Group Maintenance
    • LMS administration and training support
    • Interactive multimedia instruction (IMI)delivery systems and applications
  • One (1) year experience in the following:
    • Design, Install, Configure, and Maintain Dell VxRail Hyper
    • Converged Infrastructure running multiple VMware vSphere, Horizon, and vRealize application suites
    • Create, design, install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop baselines in support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
    • Design, Configure, and Maintain Teradici Zero-client architecture to include profile and security posture
    • Implement and maintain security guidance to maintain security posture for devices/products related to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
    • Create and maintain all documentation pertaining to the Virtual environment
    • Perform patching of all components of Virtual environment
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (i.e. Security Plus)

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
