Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security systems and policies to protect organizational data, networks, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in security architecture, engineering, and incident management, with the ability to stay ahead of evolving security threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Architecture & Design: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and architecture to ensure the protection of systems, networks, and data.
  • Risk Assessment & Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Security Infrastructure: Design, configure, and manage security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM solutions, and encryption technologies.
  • Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents, overseeing investigation, remediation, and documentation of security events.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, NIST, GDPR) and maintain alignment with best practices.
  • Vulnerability Management: Oversee vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and remediation activities to ensure the security of systems and applications.
  • Collaboration & Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security into systems development, IT infrastructure, and cloud environments.
  • Security Awareness: Conduct security training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees about security risks and safe practices.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation to support audits and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in cyber security, security architecture, or related roles, preferably with hands-on exposure to large-scale environments.
  • Security Tools & Technologies: Proficient in the use of security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, or similar.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and develop effective security solutions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Team Player: Capable of working independently and in collaboration with other teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
