Senior Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a fully remote Senior Java Developer to join their team.

Summary:
This team is 95% Back End-heavy with very strong, resilient and high availability microservices. They are currently using Java17, Springboot, Micronaut, Cassandra database and hosted in Google Cloud Platform. The Senior Java Developer will be tasked with the re-building of building new services from scratch and migrating off of PCF (70 microservices to migrate). This team is heavy on PCF and they plan to fully migrate to Google Cloud Platform, so they are ideally looking for a strong Back End Java Developer who has Google Cloud Platform (Kubernetes, docker, github actions, pub sub, spanner) knowledge and can hit the ground running.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6+ years of professional experience
* 4+ years of experience building Java-based Microservices with Springboot
* Automated testing experience (TDD/Unit testing)
* Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus (AWS is fine but Google Cloud Platform heavily preferred)
* Some form of NoSQL experience (they use Cassandra)
* Lead experience is a plus
* Ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas effectively
* Go-getter attitude who are learns and builds things on their own

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
