The Senior System Architecture Engineer is responsible for developing and evolving technical network and service architectures, as well as designing strategies to maintain, enhance, and advance T-Mobile's technology portfolio. Key responsibilities include creating, adapting, or revising detailed schematics for network and service architecture, selecting hardware and software, and defining implementation techniques and processes.
The role may involve performing, evaluating, or interpreting network simulations, test results, or studies on innovative technologies. Strong technical documentation and presentation skills are critical for translating sophisticated concepts into understandable terms for diverse audiences. The engineer will also influence and contribute to industry forums.
This position involves moderately complex technical assignments, requiring sound judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations. Assignments demand significant initiative and consideration of broader implications, with the expectation to propose well-informed solutions. While general guidance is provided for new tasks, minimal direction is needed for daily responsibilities.

- Proactive maintenance / configuration changes
- Preventative health checks / Performance monitoring

- Understands system protocols, how systems operate and data flows.
- Aware of current technology benefits and independent studies expected.

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study (Required)
- Redhat Linux Certification (Preferred)
- 5+ Years Technical engineering experience (Required)
- 5+ years experience with Redhat Linux versions 7, 8, 9 (Required)
- 5+ years experience with Shell scripting (ksh, bash, Perl, python, etc.) (Required)
- Experience with infrastructure management technology such as Ansible or Puppet (Preferred)
- Experience with Hypervisors - VMware, OpenShift (Preferred)
- Experience using ServiceNow (Preferred)
- Understanding of code review and familiarity with tools like GitHub and GitLab (Preferred)
