Enterprise Applications Engineer
The Enterprise Applications Engineer is an integral part of our teamsTechnology & Information Services team and will be responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and maintaining integrated software solutions which allow attorneys and staff to access firm resources from the office and remote locations, while leading project teams to research, evaluate, design, implement, and support complex enterprise applications, on premises and in the Cloud. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles office. Please note that this role requires working two days per week in person at the office, or as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
Liaising with stakeholders and leaders of other business units to ensure that their needs are understood and met
Designing software solutions and integrations for all facets of attorney work, document generation, research, client billing, business development, analysis, and fact-finding, while acting as a Subject Matter Expert regarding these solutions to provide expert analysis of needs required for successful implementations
Utilizing their technical creativity to identify and implement additional enhancements and new software solutions for Latham s legal professionals and administrative departments
Installing, maintaining, and upgrading software for all users within the firm, and making recommendations to managers regarding the setting of standards for firm software and desktop/notebook configurations
Monitoring and tuning supported platforms to ensure optimal performance and system availability
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that the company retains
We d love to hear from you if you:
Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of software programs, including Microsoft Windows Enterprise, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Possess knowledge of 3rd party applications utilized in the legal industry
Exhibit knowledge and proficiency with administration and the maintenance of relational databases used by supported applications
And have:
A bachelor s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field; appropriate work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the Information Technology profession
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience installing, supporting, and upgrading back-end databases and enterprise class, multi-user software applications, preferably
