Title: Security Engineer - Infrastructure
Location: DOWNEY, CA (Remote)
Duration: 12 months
This is a Remote position .

Position Description: A Security Engineer serves as the security engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment; is comfortable with bridging the gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision; works to ensure developers create the most secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users; and has experience with white-hat hacking and fundamental computer science concepts. The Security Engineer will perform security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews; develop and implement technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities; and conduct research to identify new attack vectors.
Skills Required: Security Engineers will possess knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks.
Skills Preferred: I. Technical Proficiency: *Pulse Secure SSL VPN* - Upgrading, migrating, and consolidating multiple high-availability SSL VPN clusters. - Configuring resource profiles and policies. - Managing user realms and user roles. - Customizing Sign-in page and access policy customization. - Configuring web rewrite policies. - Configuring endpoint compliance and assessment. - Configuring multi-factor authentication. - Delegating administration privileges. - Managing high-availability SSL VPN clusters - Applying system patches and upgrades. - Monitoring system health and performance. - Troubleshooting network and system connectivity issues. II. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: - Exceptional customer service abilities, ensuring positive interactions and support experiences. - Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise documentation and reporting. III. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: - Ability to perform in-depth analysis of complex security issues and develop effective mitigation strategies. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to remote access and Internet security technologies. - Capacity to anticipate potential security risks and proactively implement solutions.
Experience Required : This classification must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with developing and implementing technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Experience Preferred - Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years supporting, managing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Pulse Secure SSL VPN high-availability clusters. - Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years supporting Pulse Secure SSL VPN advanced security features such as conditional access, endpoint compliance check, and multi-factor authentication. - Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years supporting Pulse Secure SSL VPN in a large enterprise environment with at least 5,000 Pulse Secure SSL VPN users. - Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as a security engineer, or in similar capacity, supporting and troubleshooting in a large enterprise environment with multiple firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers with at least 1,000 servers and 200 locations. - Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years supporting a multi-tenant network environment with at least 20,000 users.
Education Required: This classification requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Education Preferred: Security trainings and certifications such as ZCCA-IA, ZCCP-IA, ZCCA-PA, ZCCP-PA, Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) or CISSP.
